South Africa 2018 - Day 11: Kruger National Park Day 2

We started the day by meeting in the hotel lobby at 05:30am to collect our breakfast boxes. We would be spending another full day in the Kruger National Park, only this time in an open vehicle instead of the coach. As soon as the winter sun had risen we had some early sightings of elephants and some rhinos with birds on their backs. Another morning highlight would be seeing a warthog waking up from its hole and wandering off into the bush. One new animal we didn't sew yesterday was a honey badger.

We took a morning break at Tshokwane, which is the same place that we used as a rest stop yesterday. No hyena to be seen today but the monkeys were back trying to steal an apple from somebody who wasn't looking. In the late morning we would have many giraffe sightings as well as the usual impala's. Just when things were looking quiet we saw 3 elephants running to the watering hole. We took a break once again for lunch at Skukuza knowing we had to leave the park around 4pm.

In the afternoon it was very quiet, but we were lucky enough to go up a hill to Mathekanyane Lookout to take pictures at one of the few places you are allowed to get out of the vehicle. As we made our way back to Malelane gate there were some impala's on the road. They soon run to the side though as the car gets closer to them. After leaving the park and returning to the coach to head back to the hotel, we actually saw a couple of crocodiles relaxing in the water. We will return back to Kruger National Park tomorrow for a final time, to enjoy a sunset dinner.

Several animals in the same place.
