South America: Ep 15 - Cusco, Peru

Today's departure was at 8am so we could wake up at a reasonable hour for breakfast. We would then begin the drive towards Cusco, Peru. Our first stop of the morning on the way was 90 minutes to Saqsaywaman citadel. This was the historic capital of the Inca Empire and from here we could get a good wide shot of the city.

We would then drive into the main city of Cusco for a tour. The walking tour of the city would last around 75 minutes and finished nearby to the hotel. We would go inside the Cusco Cathedral which is located on the Plaza de Armas The afternoon was free time for everybody to do whatever they wanted.

I decided to take a rest and just grab some food in the evening for dinner. There was an evening optional for a dance show and included dinner which some people attended but not everybody.

South America: Ep 03 - Valparaiso Day Trip

Breakfast this morning was at 7am before meeting the lobby at 8am for anybody who wanted to join an optional day tour to the Chilean coastal cities of Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar. We drove for a couple of hours with a service station stop to stretch our legs, before arriving at our first photo stop in Valparaiso. Valparaiso, Chile We would have a walking tour of Valparaiso to see some of the amazing artwork around the city. This would last just over an hour, which also included a return trip on the funicular. After this we would drive to the beach city of Vina del Mar, where we would enjoy an extended lunch stop. After eating I walked right up to the beach front to see some of the Chilean locals enjoying their summer. Location: Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a city that I visited several times now, with my first visit been in August 2014. The most recent time was Summer 2016 on the Expat Explore Northern Explorer tour as this was the start and end point. Amsterdam is also a very common connecting hub for international flights into Europe at Schiphol Airport just 10km away from central Amsterdam. Amsterdam is most famous for its bicycles and canals. So on the first evening of our tour we took a cruise around the canals of Amsterdam. As we got to know our group we had the chance to have a pizza and some ice cream on board. Another top sight is the I Amsterdam sign. This is a great spot for tourists to get their group shots. The building just behind that is the Rijksmuseum(Shown below). This has arts and history of the city of Amsterdam and costs €17.50 at the time of writing. I have never been in and have only walked under the archway to get to the canals.
